The Food Friends Foundation
The Food Friends Foundation, a start-up non-profit organization from the Department of Food Science and Human Nutrition at Colorado State University, is engaged in the research, development, and distribution of nutrition and physical activity education programs to pre-school aged children. The Mission of the Food Friends Foundation is, simply stated, to Create Healthy Kids. This is accomplished by addressing the societal issues of childhood nutrition and childhood obesity by offering the research-based nutrition and physical activity programs, Food Friends:Fun with New Foods and Food Friends:Get Movin’ with Mighty Moves, to pre-school classrooms and family child care homes nationwide. The Food Friends Programs were developed under the leadership of Jennifer Anderson, a PhD researched-based (now Emeritus) professor, and the staff and directors of the organization have expertise in human nutrition, early childhood education, educational administration, marketing and law.
The Food Friends Foundation is a 501c3 public charity. All donations received are tax deductible.
